Project Detail
In my role leading the data analysis for a project on the Circular Economy within the UK construction sector, I managed a comprehensive review and analysis of an extensive body of literature, totaling 2,747 academic papers. My responsibilities included utilizing Zotero for effective bibliographic data management and NVivo for qualitative data analysis, ensuring a systematic and organized approach to the vast information. This rigorous process was foundational in identifying and categorizing key themes critical to understanding the circular economy's impacts on resource management and waste reduction.
My work also involved advanced keyword analysis, where I refined a list of 408 distinct keywords extracted from the data. This step was crucial for conducting focused semantic and thematic analyses using Word2Vec, which facilitated the understanding of complex relationships within the data. Following this, I employed Social Network Analysis (SNA) to construct a detailed network map using Gephi. This analysis highlighted the interconnectedness of different concepts and revealed four distinct clusters that outlined critical trends and central themes in the circular economy discourse.
The analytical findings were transformed into visual formats that aided in communicating complex data to project stakeholders effectively. By visualizing the networked relationships and clustered trends, I provided clear and actionable insights that helped in strategic decision-making. This role not only demanded a high level of technical proficiency with data analysis tools and methodologies but also required strong communication skills to ensure that the project's outcomes were aligned with stakeholder expectations and contributed meaningfully to the field's broader understanding.
Ultimately, my efforts in mapping the landscape of circular economy practices within the construction sector were instrumental in identifying key leverage points for enhancing sustainability. This comprehensive analysis supported the development of strategic recommendations, influencing policy formulation and decision-making processes related to economic impacts, policy frameworks, and workforce implications in the sector. My role was pivotal in bridging complex analytical processes with practical, strategic outputs, thereby driving forward the agenda for sustainability in the construction industry.
